Chrissy Joy

Chrissy Joy is a professional dog trainer through BFF, a live performer, studio canine trainer, and educator through demos and workshops for the Bone-A-Fied Talent Group.  A past equestrian with a Bachelor of Science in Equine Studies and now a dog trainer – she has over two decades of animal training experience. Today she uses her opportunities to have a platform to encourage self-esteem, entrepreneurship, and creating a stronger bond with your pet. Her mission is to not only better the life of dogs but to promote self-care and joy to pet parents worldwide.

My Story

She rescued her first dog, Beasley, in 2014 at a local Pennsylvania rescue after leaving a bustling career with a corporate job.  Her passion for spending time with Beasley and her interest in dog training grew like wildfire.  Not too long after she entered the intern program and became a trainer at BFF Pet Services.

Today she owns four dogs, cumulatively named The Joy Crew, and has become an internationally recognized dog trainer with several award-winning titles:

  • 2018 National Stunt Dog Champion

  • 2021 International Trick Dog Champion

  • Trainer of the Youngest Champion Trick Dog in the world (9 weeks old)

  • Trainer of the Second Youngest Champion Trick Dog in the world. (12 weeks)

The Joy Crew has also starred in many feature films, nationwide commercials, TV shows, and more. You may have even caught them on America’s Got Talent! Today she hosts two shows, “The DogMoms” and “FarmGirl” as well as “The DogMoms” Podcast on iHeartRadio, Spotify, and iTunes.

Chrissy Joy manages the Bone-A-Fied Talent Group – the entertainment division of BFF Pet Services. This group is made up of elite and skilled dogs and owners who are interested in set work and live shows, bridging the gap between talent and casting calls.  BTG, commonly referred to, helps to educate dog owners and trainers through dynamic workshops regarding tricks and the entertainment industry. BTG also performs exciting live shows nationwide to include frisbee, agility, tricks, and more.

Today Chrissy enjoys her journey with The Joy Crew on road trips, hiking, set work, sports, and creative content through social media.  She hopes to compete in more canine sports such as agility and frisbee – along with her daughter Elowen.

Her lifelong motto is “Take chances, make opportunities” and she thrives to make a worldwide positive impact on people and their pets alike – to build a stronger community of pet lovers who pursue their passions in life.
