Debra Jones

Hi, my name is Debra Jones.  I am a lifelong animal lover, and I love helping folks learn to work as a team with their dogs. I was originally introduced to BFF Pet Services by another happy customer, and I fell in love with the people, the approach to dog training, and the array of class options.

My husband and I have owned and trained Boykin Spaniels – a versatile sporting breed - for nearly 25 years.  I love the water and being outdoors, so off-lead hiking, retrieving, tracking, and hunting – whether a bird or simply a training dummy – are my favorite dog activities.  Additionally, two of my dogs are the first and second Boykins to have ever achieved Do More With Your Dog’s Advanced Trick Dog (ATD) title.

I write a regular feature for the Boykin Spaniel Society’s quarterly newsletter to help owners with challenges commonly associated with these high-drive hunting dogs.  I am also a founding member of IVDD in the Boykin Spaniel, which promotes testing, encourages research, and assists Boykins with IVDD and their humans in dealing with this disease.
